JUNE 10, 2009 – Advanced Driver Training Services (ADTS) National Sales Manager Phil Moser and Sales Manager Jim Costello will each present an informative driver safety session at Safety 2009, the national conference of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), June 29 – July 1, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas.

Moser will present “Driving Green = Driving Safe” on Monday, June 29 at 3:15 p.m. In response to high fuel prices and environmental concerns about fuel consumption, this session will provide practical driving tips that will substantially reduce business drivers’ fuel use while improving their safety. Moser will also address the safety ratings of fuel-efficient, hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles and safety issues related to hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and hybrid battery-powered vehicles.

Costello will present “Best Practices Approach to Driver Safety” on Wednesday, July 1 at 1:45 p.m. This session will provide an in-depth review of the essential steps to developing a culture proven to reduce crash rates and improve the safety of business drivers. Costello will examine best practices such as setting goals, enlisting a cross-functional safety team, securing management buy-in, developing safety policies, providing effective driver safety training, and engaging field managers in the program.
