MAY 1, 2006 – Phil Moser, National Sales Manager for Advanced Driver Training Services, Inc. (ADTS), will present a driver safety session at the 2006 National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) Fleet Management Institute, which takes place May 6 – 9 in Orlando, Florida. Moser will present “A 10-Step Plan to Effectively Manage MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) Checks and Driver Safety” on Monday, May 8, 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ADTS is among the many suppliers exhibiting at the national conference.

“At a time when litigation involving employee drivers is becoming increasingly common, it’s vital that organizations run regular record checks and provide effective safety training for their fleet drivers,” Moser says. His session will provide best practices to guide fleet managers in checking fleet driver records, employing effective hiring practices, providing safety intervention for high-risk drivers, and establishing appropriate, companywide driver safety policies.

Moser is a regular guest speaker at industry conferences and meetings of trade organizations such as the NAFA, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), the Risk & Insurance Managers Society (RIMS), and the American Fleet Leasing Association (AFLA). Prior to assuming his current position in 1994, Moser spent six years as a driver safety instructor with ADTS. A graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, he was an accident investigation and reconstruction specialist with the Lower Providence (PA) Police Department for 11 years before joining ADTS. A member of NAFA and ASSE, Moser serves as Chair of Safety and Maintenance for the NAFA New Jersey Chapter and serves on the board of the NAFA Philadelphia Chapter.
